A diversity toolkit for the youth work sector
Youth practitioners have come together to produce a must have resource for including young people from different backgrounds in youth work. Access All Areas is a diversity toolkit for the youth work sector developed by Youthnet and the National Youth Council of Ireland. The resource was developed in partnership with over 25 practitioners and 15 voluntary organisations working with children and young people, North and South of the border.
Access All Areas can be used by volunteers, staff, or management committees for self-assessment. It contains a series of interactive chapters that will enable a group or organisation to see the level of access they are providing to all young people, especially those from minority ethnic communities, young Travellers, lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender young people, young people with a disability, early school leavers, young people involved in the juvenile justice system, young parents and young people with mental health issues.
